What Is Rush?
Rush, also known as “recruitment”, is a two-way process when the fraternity can get to know you, as well as allow you to get to know the fraternity. It’s a series of events that offer the opportunity to ask questions, get to know brothers, and to see if Greek life is something you’re really interested in.

Requirements
Alpha Kappa Psi is open to ALL majors. The following requirements are needed to be considered for a bid:
- Full-time student at the University at Buffalo
- Be willing and ready to improve upon your professional and interpersonal skills
- An open mind

What is Rush?
Rush is a series of events hosted by a fraternity or sorority to engage, meet, and recruit potential members. It is conducted at the beginning of every Fall and Spring semester.
Do I have to attend every rush event?
It is not mandatory for rushes to attend every event. However, it is highly recommended. The more events you attend, the more you get to mingle with brothers and leave a lasting impression.
Are women allowed to rush for Alpha Kappa Psi?
Alpha Kappa Psi is a professional CO-ED business fraternity. Women are certainly permitted to rush/pledge.
Do I have to be a business major to rush?
Although we are a business fraternity, we are open to students of all majors and years. Our brothers come from a wide range of majors including Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Engineering, Computer Science and many more.
Can I rush if I am in another Greek fraternity/sorority?
Alpha Kappa Psi is a professional fraternity and permits members of other social Greek organizations to rush.
What is Alpha Kappa Psi's hazing policy?
AKPsi has zero tolerance for any type of hazing. Put simply, there is no hazing whatsoever.
If I do not get a bid this semester, can I rush again?
Rushes who did not receive a bid are highly encouraged to rush again as it displays interest and determination.
